2026 NTUST International Volunteer Team Travels to Nepal: Enhancing Upper Pisang Tourism with Interactive Photo-Check-in and Information Signs

During this activity, our team worked on the construction and installation of five tourist information and photo-check-in facilities in Upper Pisang, Nepal. Based on the characteristics of each attraction and its surrounding environment, we installed metal information signs featuring site thumbnails, visual icons, and QR codes, providing visitors with an easy way to identify attractions and access digital information. During the installation process, we considered not only the stability, location, and visual integration of each sign, but also carefully selected suitable positions and viewing angles for photography. This allowed visitors to capture both the information sign and the attraction itself in the same photograph, giving the signs both an informational and photo-check-in function. Through the installation of these five signs, we hope to improve the visibility of local attractions and accessibility of tourism information, while encouraging visitors to explore Upper Pisang’s natural scenery and local culture through photography, check-ins, and QR-code-based digital guides.
