2026 NTUST International Volunteer Team Travels to Nepal: Supporting Underprivileged Youth with Stage Coordination at the DeLight Charity Concert
On August 1, 2026, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) USR team traveled to XO Club in Nepal to serve as volunteers at the DeLight 7th Charity Concert, organized by a team associated with JuJuMaMa, the Taipei-based organization dedicated to children’s education and care. The event invited children and youth from various foundations, childcare organizations, and social welfare groups to participate in performances. Through singing and instrumental performances, the concert provided children from diverse backgrounds with a platform to showcase their talents and interact with others.

Starting from the rehearsal session before the concert, volunteers were stationed in designated areas according to their assigned responsibilities. They assisted participating groups with stage access, timing, and movement, accompanied children and performers on and off the stage, guided them to their designated positions, and supported seating arrangements and transitions throughout the performances. By coordinating on-site activities according to the pace of different performance groups, the volunteers helped ensure a smooth flow of the event.

During the concert, participating groups presented Nepali and Chinese songs, as well as a variety of instrumental performances, demonstrating the results of the children’s and youth’s musical training and preparation.

Through this international volunteer service, the NTUST USR team actively participated in the on-site execution and coordination of an overseas charity event, putting volunteer service, teamwork, and cross-cultural exchange into practice. The support provided by the volunteers not only helped local children and youth successfully complete their performances, but also enabled the USR team to gain valuable practical experience in overseas event coordination and cross-cultural collaboration. The activity demonstrated the NTUST USR program’s commitment to promoting international engagement and social participation through meaningful community-based action.
